July 4 Fireworks in the Capital Region & Adirondacks

Going to a fireworks show is a classic Independence Day activity, and upstate New York has plenty of options to offer. Here's a rundown of places you can go in the greater Capital Region and Adirondacks to see fireworks around July 4, 2023.

Tri-City ValleyCats Game: June 29

The ValleyCats continue an annual tradition of fireworks following a game. Watch them play the Schaumburg Boomers starting at 6:30 PM first. The game will occur at the Joseph L. Bruno Stadium in Troy.

Albany: Empire State Plaza

See the largest fireworks display in the region at the Empire State Plaza in downtown Albany the evening of July 4th. Enjoy music, food, and other activities before the fireworks kick off at dusk.

Clifton Park: Clifton Commons Park

Clifton Park also puts on an impressive Independence Day fireworks display, and this year is likely not to disappoint. Enjoy a parade starting at noon on July 4, with activities throughout the afternoon leading up to the main event when fireworks launch at dusk.

Saratoga Lake: Brown's Beach

Watch fireworks over the water from the beach on Sunday, July 2. Note that parking will cost $5 and is limited.

Schenectady County: Mabee Farm

On Monday, July 3, visit this historical farm starting at 5 PM to enjoy history displays, food, and more, and stay for fireworks after dark.

Saratoga Springs

Saratoga's All-American Celebration features the Firecracker 4 race in the morning on July 4 (covering four miles). Enjoy a concert by the City Center at 6 PM, and watch fireworks starting at 9 PM.

Washington County Fair

Trek to the Washington County Fairgrounds on the evening of July 4 for fireworks!

Lake George: Shepard Park

Watch fireworks reflected over the lake on July 4. Expect and prepare for plenty of traffic coming in and out of the village of Lake George!

Glens Falls Symphony Concert & Fireworks: Crandall Park

Travel to Glens Falls's town park with the family on July 4 and sit back to enjoy an Independence Day concert followed by a fireworks display.

Bolton Landing: Rogers Memorial Park

Go to this beachside park on Lake George July 4th for activities and fireworks over the water!

Schroon Lake

Enjoy food, expos, activities, music, and more on July 4, leading up to fireworks by the lake at the end of the day.

Ticonderoga: Percy Thompson Bicentennial Park

Watch a parade, buy local food, and enjoy family activities, with fireworks closing the day on July 4.

Tupper Lake: Municipal Park

Lake Placid

Watch a parade before enjoying a musical fireworks celebration in the evening of July 4.

Long Lake: Town Beach
